Survival by devotion and the sound of heartbeats- Mother protects me- feeling, waiting, hearing, growing. Born into love, my family speaks- helping hands and dimpled cheeks, they sing of holy stories. Angels surround me, I cannot stay. They hold me close to keep me safe. My hair wrapped in flowers, the world's colors. You call me "A child of peace." Written in gold halo, crowns of years to come unknown, no greater love. An olive branch across the sky, the earth rumbles. The tears a phantom shadow of darkness in the quiet. Home, now home, now home now, a sanctuary of prayers. So beloved, yet fragile.
